About
Rarely granted in New Jersey, Mutual Protection Orders in New Jersey About(MPOs) usually require both parties to seek for protection and demonstrate that restraining orders against one another are necessary. MPOs are typically not granted by courts unless there is unmistakable proof of mutual abuse or threats. For protection, each side must provide separate justifications. In New Jersey, victim safety is given first priority, and mutual orders are not always granted without first undergoing a thorough legal assessment.
